The Grenada cinema Walthamstow.
I used to go to the Saturday morning pictures with my brother and friends. We were given 9pence, 6 pence to get in and 3pence for sweets.
The money was in old money, this was about in 1056, when it was your birthday you sat in the back row of the cinema and the interval you used to go up on the stage, you were given a bage of sweats and everyone sang happy birthday. When I was a teenager we went to sunday afternoon pictures, in the interval they had local skiffle groups or pop groups on. I used the Grenada cinema alot in Walthamstow, I remember seeing some good films.
