PART FOUR: THE GIANTS THAT MADE GRANADA GREAT
The giant that made GRANADA great was Sidney Bernstein – a remarkable man of great vision and talent. But, like all great men, behind him were some remarkably talented people, who without their aid, he might not have been able to turn his visions into reality in quite such a spectacular manner.
Standing beside Mr. Bernstein, but seemingly wishing to remain in the background was his brother, Cecil Bernstein. I have been unable to find out very much of him, but he, without doubt, played a large role in the development and management of the Circuit.
The theatres of the Circuit were remarkable buildings and each had a distinct look. This look was the result of the remarkable talents of the architect Cecil Aubrey Masey and, above all, to the designer, Theodore Komisarjevsky.
