The following is a longer Obituary also written by Mr. Bonner:

I have not been able to find out where these Obituaries were published. In addition, I have been unable to contact Mr. Bonner to gain his permission to publish them here.

I have been informed that Mr. Bonner was one of the founder-members of the Cinema Organ Society. He was at various times Journal Editor, General Secretary, Liaison Officer and held a host of other positions of various groups. It is believed that he passed away towards the end of 2010’s.

Mr. Alex Campbell-Gifford was a retired army officer and one of the early Theatre Organ enthusiasts and publisher of the short-lived Cinema Organ Herald, a magazine that appeared in the 1933.  The publication contained features and photographs of all the great organists of the day including Reginald Foort, Reginald New, Sandy MacPherson, Jesse Crawford, George T. Pattman, Sidney Torch, Bobby Pagan and Frank Newman.

Later in his life, he did a lot of private recording and later formed a tape-recording company manufacturing pre-recorded Cassettes. Mr. Len Rawle remembers him recording him at both his parents home and at the State Kilburn.

Mr. Campbell- Gifford died in 1997 at his home in Stapleford near Salisbury and Mr. Rawle played the Organ at his funeral.
